DAY 1 : MARRAKECH – OUARZAZATE – DADES GORGES
Our five day tour in the Marrakech desert starts with a picking you up at your hotel and start driving to cross the High Atlas pass at 2260 meters altitude at the Tizi-N-Tichka pass. We will enjoy the scenic beauty of the Berber villages along the road between the mountains. Free time at the ancient kasbah of Ait Bennhaddu. Many famous films have been shot here. We continue to Ouarzazate to visit the kasbah of Taurirt. We continue our five day tour from Marrakech along the “Valley of the Roses” to the Dades Gorge. After a long day, we relax in a nice riad/hotel with a delicious dinner.
DAY 2 :DADESI GORGES – TODRA GORGES – MERZOUGA DESERT
The journey from Marrakech continues as we explore the Dadesi Gorge and then the Todra Gorge, the famous rocky gorges. We then pass through several Berber villages to Erfoud, famous for its fossils. After crossing the Tafilalet oasis, we continue to Rissan and from there to the Merzouga desert. In the Sahara desert of Merzouga, we will spend the night in a desert hotel. Some activities are possible in the desert, such as mountain bike or buggy rides to admire the sunset.
DAY 3 :MERZOUGA DESERT EXCURSION
Today we will explore the Sahara desert in detail. We will see how the nomads live in the desert. We will visit the village of Hamlia to listen to the famous local Gnawa musicians. In the desert, activities await us, such as Berber cooking classes and ATV rides in the desert. Lunch of traditional Berber pizza in Rissan, and after lunch we will prepare for a camel ride in the desert. We will spend the night in a desert camp, where we will enjoy a traditional Berber dinner at the camp. We will listen to traditional Berber music in the Sahara desert.
DAY 4 :MERZOUGA DESERT – OUARZAZATE
to day we wake up early to ride a camel and watch the sunrise over the Merzouga Desert. After breakfast at the desert hotel/radio, we head to Rissan to explore the local markets. We will head to Agdez, cross the Draa Valley and arrive in Ouarzazate. We will visit the local film studio and kasbah. We will spend the night in Ouarzazate with dinner and breakfast.
DAY 5 :OUARZAZATE – LAST TRIP TO MARRAKECH
Our five day desert tour from Marrakech ends today. after Breakfast we will take our day very easy Ouarzazate. After lunch, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains and arrive in Marrakech in the evening. We will drop you off at your hotel or at your convenience elsewhere in Marrakech.
