Visiting the Desert FAQs
While it is possible to reach the sands of the Sahara and dune seas such as Erg Chebbi within a day, Morocco Sunny Days doesn’t offer a standard day-trip package from Marrakech as we believe that our guests would feel too rushed.
Our shortest package that includes the dunes is the Marrakech to Fes Tour (3 days/2 nights), however we can also build a custom tour to your liking, including an early start to reach the dunes if you so wish.
Almost any trip or tour can be created bespoke at your request – just get in touch!
Our guests are frequently surprised at the level of luxury that a desert camp in Erg Chebbi or Erg Chigaga can offer.
Our Standard level of Accommodation comprises of private or shared tents complete with beds, however our Luxury level even includes en-suites and an amazingly high-standard of furnishing.

Our guests love to go on 1.5 hour camel rides or quad bike over the dunes, however we don’t make it compulsory.
We are careful to choose camel ride operators that take the best care of their animal business partners.
We usually recommend loose-fitting and breathable clothes for the day, and also to bring a scarf in case the wide picks up and sand is blown about. We also recommend something warm for the evening as temperatures drop quite quickly.
